Based upon a true story this twisted tale of obsession and murder unfolds as the battered wife of a very successful yet violent and abusive husband through fear of his personal life embarrassing his clients has commissioned an assassin to murder her before the court date. Unfortunately for him the hired gun is an FBI agent working undercover who advises her that she must "pretend" to have been murdered in order to prove her husbands guilt.
