Timon is a Meerkat. Together, he and his friend Pumbaa adopt Simba and raise him. Timon and Pumbaa are a very funny duo. They teach Simba the hakuna mat at a philosophy to help him deal with the Death of his father. Hakuna mat at a means "no worries", which is the reason why Simba is so happy with Timon and Pumbaa.
