We often imagine dinosaurs as colossal flesh eating beasts that once roamed ancient landscapes. These "terrible lizards" occupied all the lands of our planet for eons. Of the hundreds of different species, some were indeed gigantic but many were comparable in size to our largest breeds of dog, and were often vegetarian. This wonderful pack of illustrated playing cards, the work of artist Cecilia Fitzsimons, brings to life 54 different types of dinosaurs, giving an indication of their size, together with the area and prehistoric period in which they lived. We continue to marvel at these strange and widely diverse creatures as we try to complete our understanding of life in the age of the dinosaurs.
