The return to popularity of the Argentine Tango represents also a return to the roots of the dance, which originated in Argentina at the end of the nineteenth century. Several different types of music influenced the Tango, but the main influence was Milonga, which drew its inspirations from African rhythms. This DVD was created by Instructor Marie Claude Martin, who specializes in Argentine and Milonga tangos. It enables both men and women to master the basic steps of the Tango, as well as the most popular variations of the dance.
