Bonnat is the oldest artisan producer of chocolate in the world, producing around 100 tons per year. Bonnat was also the first chocolate maker to create single-origin and single-estate chocolate bars in the 1950s. The only ingredients are cocoa and cocoa butter! Since 1884 the chocolatier has nurtured its relationship with cocoa growers around the world. The small town of Voiron, at the foot of the Alps, where they are based, has become a Mecca for chocolate connoisseurs around the world. The company never adds vanilla or lecithin to their recipes, relying only on technique to develop the complex flavors they are known for.
