First discovered in Texas in 1971, Quetzalcoatlus was named after the Mesoamerican trickster god Quetzalcoatl. It had a long neck and a large, toothless beak. Though research is still ongoing, it is believed Quetzalcoatlus had over a 30-foot wingspan. This figurine is part of the Carnegie Dinosaur Collection, which features collectibles authenticated by paleontologists from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
