The Firestik MU-8R18 is routed from the mount to the radio and the female mini-UHF connector will pass through hole that is only 7/16" (11mm) in diameter. After reaching the radio. Completion is as simple as screwing on the supplied mini-UHF/PL-259 adapter and then screwing the PL-259 to the radios antenna connection. No coax to process. No soldering joints to complete and no tools needed.
