Ultimate Johnny "Guitar" Watson rarities package, containing almost everything he cut between 1959 and 1965 for independent labels big and small. This period of JGW's career is less well documented than those which came before and after, although it includes Watson classics of the calibre of 'Cuttin' In', 'Looking Back' and his stellar recut of 'Gangster of Love'. Around half of these tracks have never been legitimately reissued on CD before. The brilliance of this music is matched by the booklet photography, featuring shots of JGW taken at Manchester's legendary Twisted Wheel club in 1964.
