The botanical name is Cycas revoluta but commonly known as sago palm, king sago or Japanese palm. Originated from the areas of Southern Japan. A beautiful ornamental plant with shiny dark green leaves on a thick shaggy trunk, typically about 7.9'' inch. As the plant grows older, the trunk can reach up to 20 ft but this is a type of very slow-growing plant. This plant is also one of those several species that is used in producing sago. This plant is proven for its natural strong defense against predators and does adapt to a wide range of conditions.
