From this Eurasian genus of 8-9 species, comes one of the earliest, and for that reason most delightful of spring-flowering perennials! Winter Aconite tosses out its lovely yellow flowers on 3-6" stems two full weeks before Crocus, giving the spring season a bright and cheery start. Does well in the shade too! Zones 4-7.
