A hardy conifer native to California and Colorado, this slow-growing pine has a bush-like appearance and does well under very dry conditions. Some Bristlecones that are over 4,000 years old can be found in the mountains of the southwest, making them the oldest living trees in the world. The oldest is a tree called "Methuselah." At 4,767 years, that elder has lived more than a millennium longer than any other tree. The Bristlecone Pine also makes an excellent bonsai tree! Hardy in zones 4-7.
Seed-sowing instructions included.
