This deciduous spiny tree grows to 10'. Its 4" oval fruits are very aromatic with a pungent-tasting pulp. Highly esteemed in its native regions, it's recognized for its medicinal value. The unusual fruits are also made into a refreshing beverage. Producing fragrant flowers and 3" crenelated leaves, this citrus relative from India is associated with Shiva worship. In cooler regions, the Bael Fruit can be grown as a patio plant or house plant.
