The Junk mat is made of a tough woven fabric on a synthetic cushion base, similar to the material used to make wet suits. It makes for a great playing surface, nicely secured by the black frame, robust and yet relatively light. The plastic frame has recesses where score sticks can be deposited during play. Two of the frame sides can be detached and the mat and frame can be easily rolled up and put away in the bag that comes with the mat.
