Hardy Diagnostics MacConkey Agar is recommended for use as a selective and differential medium for the isolation of gram negative bacilli (including coliform organisms and enteric pathogens), on the basis of lactose fermentation. Ideal for urine cultures. For cultivation, isolation and enumeration of all bacterial and yeast urinary pathogens. Hardy Diagnostics Blood Agar products are recommended for use as general purpose growth media for the isolation, cultivation, and differentiation of a wide variety of microorganisms.Blood Agar and MacConkey Agar are poured into a two section Petri dish (biplate). Do not ingest, inhale, or allow to come into contact with skin. This product is for laboratory use only. It is to be used only by adequately trained and qualified laboratory personnel.
