Debuting on Broadway in 2003, Hairspray won eight Tony Awards including the awards for Best Musical and Best Score. This accompaniment/karaoke CD of songs from Hairspray features 36 tracks from the Broadway musical. Tracks 1-18 contain the background tracks and guide vocals; tracks 19-36 contain the accompaniment tracks alone. This album is a re-recording in the original show key and show tempo, and not a rendition by the original cast.
This album plays in any CD player. In a karaoke machine, lyrics will appear on-screen. A lyric booklet is included.
