The Safetac properties allows the dressing to be changed without causing additional pain to the patient or trauma to the wound or surrounding skin. Mepilex Border Self-Adherent Absorbent Foam Dressing is made of an absorbent pad of polyurethane foam and super absorbent polyacrylate fibers, a soft silicone wound contact layer and an outer film which is vapor permeable and waterproof. Please note that in case of clinical signs of infection, the use of Mepilex Border may be continued if proper infection treatment is initiated
