Vincenzo Bellini's final opera, set during the English civil war of the 1640s. This acclaimed production is from the Met's 2006/07 season and stars Anna Netrebko. It was transmitted live into cinemas and film theatres on three continents, and later rebroadcast on PBS in the United States. Patrick Summers conducts the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
