Bright red flowers with long spider like stamens. Multiflowering stalks. Strap-shaped green foliage disappears in July; the flower spike bursts forth in August. Grow in cool greenhouses, or outdoors in warmer areas where little or no frost is experienced. Elsewhere protect where temperatures drop into the twenties.
