Bill Buchman, who made the DVD "Art Is an Attitude: The Art of Figure Drawing" in 2007 has just come out with this new DVD entitled "Creative Breakout: The Art of Freedom" where he demonstrates exciting abstract watercolor and mixed media painting and drawing techniques.
This DVD is about spontaneity and the creative process, visual composition, and trusting your inner impulse. The sections on how to use the materials and compositional space provide simple guiding concepts and techniques. The idea is to work spontaneously and respond to what s happening on the page while keeping the focus going, that is, keeping the melody .
Bill says, "A big key to the creative process is to relax, to let yourself be free and to have fun. This is where the creativity takes place. It s a free flowing process of heart and mind. An even bigger key to the creative process is to believe in yourself as you work. I hope that my free-form and free-flowing approach will encourage you to work freely and confidently, too. Learning to trust and follow your inner impulses will put jazzy power in your paintings and take you places beyond your expectations. This approach will grow your artistic knowledge and build your confidence, too!"
