- High-output signal. The higher iron content in Alloy 52 compared to pure nickel or nickel-plated strings increases the string's magnetic properties. This results in a stronger interaction with a guitar's pickups, producing a hotter, higher-output signal.
- “Vintage nickel" sound. Despite the increased output, Alloy 52 strings are formulated to provide a tone reminiscent of classic, pure nickel strings from the 1950s and '60s. The result is a sound that is warm and full-bodied but with added punch.
