The Deposition Guide discusses what deposition witnesses’ rights are and how witnesses can best prepare and handle themselves at their deposition, offering an easy-to-read, practical handbook dealing with the civil pretrial “discovery” process, including abuses to which a deposition witness may be exposed. This handbook exposes the reality of what actually happens in a deposition and cites court rules governing depositions that a witness can assert before, during and after a deposition to maximize his or her rights and make the experience a much less stressful one. There is also a chapter devoted to special tips for expert witnesses, and another that gives advice on how to prepare yourself for a videotaped deposition.
