Chops is the story of a high school jazz ensemble competition that culminates every year in New York City at the Essentially Ellington Festival which is held at Lincoln Center and is hosted by Wynton Marsalis. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington this film tracks the lives of young men and women from different backgrounds and how they come together to achieve something that individually they could not, the performance of a lifetime!
