This is a Top Collection large statue of Guan Yin - Bodhisattva of compassion and mercy and protector of women. Highly respected and bears different versions of the name in Asian cultures such as Kwun Yum in Hong Kong and Quan Am in Vietnam. It is a smaller version of our 16-inch statue of the same design. Guan Yin wears a robe and sits in the lotus pose on a sea turtle with the Sacred Vase in her palm while her other hand is up in the Vitarka Mudra.
