The DEWALT DD5008 1/8-Inch Impact Drill Bit is designed to be used in a 1/4" Hex Shank Impact Drivers to drill holes from 1/8" to 1/2" holes in metal, wood, or plastic. Ground from solid 1-piece design makes this up to 5 times more durable than the current 2-piece conventional product. A patented web taper increases the rigidity of the bit to decrease the potential for bit breakage. Also, the patented Pilot Point ® tip (3/16” -1/2”) allows users to drill holes faster than the conventional split point product and offers clean burr free holes with reduced bit walking.
