The current version of Mexico's silver "trade coin", having replaced the Silver Onza. The coin has no legal tender value, but is rather a government issued bullion coin, containing a guaranteed silver content (value varies based on the worth of silver). Beautiful design, sought by collectors. Obverse pictures the symbolic soaring angel of liberty and legendary twin volcanoes. Reverse depicts an array of iterations of the Mexican national seal. The Silver Libertads are minted in a variety of weights - this version is One Troy Oz, .999 pure silver.
