Stollen is a buttery loaf made from yeasty dough, packed with chopped nuts, raisins, and candied orange peel, frosted with powdered sugar. It is one of the Christmas specialties that are traditionally prepared all over Germany. It also goes by the name of "Christstollen" or "Striezel".
