Grow Crimson Sweet Watermelon from fresh Citrullus lanatus melon seeds. Crimson Sweet will produce deliciously sweet fruits that weigh anywhere from 20 to 25 pounds. The hard outer skin is striped with green on green and the flesh is deep red. Each round fruit measures roughly 13 to 14 inches in diameter. The seeds are fairly small so it isn't a problem to pick them out before enjoying on a hot summer day. The plants themselves will grow to a mature height of roughly 8 to 10 inches tall and will grow outwards taking up about 8 to 10 feet or so. Each vine will produce somewhere between 2 to 4 melons, depending on growing conditions. These juicy snacks will be ready for harvesting in about 90 days after first sprouts appear. It's no shocker that the Watermelon is consisted of roughly 95 to 96 percent water, the other 5 to 6 percent is mainly sugar. There are a few health benefits when eating Watermelons, some of which you might not even know of. Watermelon is great for muscle soreness, healthy skin, reduced blood pressure and can also regulate the digestive system.
