This 3/8" beaded bit requires a 3/8" deep notch that is only achieved with the 3/8" notching bit. Two different profiles are available for these notching bits; 3/8" x 1-1/2" for rails and stiles that are a minimum of 1-1/2" wide, 3/8" x 2" for rails and stiles that are a minimum of 2" wide. For rails and stiles wider than the minimum, multiple passes will be required. For each beaded profile, both a beading bit and a notching bit are needed.
