This seldom seen native of Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador thrives in warm conditions and lots of light. It will bloom constantly with the golden yellow blooms lasting 2-4 days. This great little plant has tri-lobed deep burgandy-red leaves that provide a nice backdrop to the golden yellow flowers. It seems to never stop blooming and stays a nice compact size. Hardy in zones 9-11. Elsewhere grow as a patio or houseplant. Prefers partial sun and grows 4-6" tall. An excellent windowsill plant.
