This is a great product for smaller shops, stores, and warehouses, who want an instant chime sound to play when someone walks through a door or other monitored area. When you want a simple alert that is easy to install and maintain, this is a great product to use. The SL-40 is a reliable, do-it-yourself entrance alert chime you can install in seconds.
The sensor is passive-infrared based motion detector you place over a door or other area you wish to monitor, and when the combination of heat and movement are detected, it plays either a "DING" or "DING-DONG" tone (you choose). With this product, the sound emanates from the sensor and does not send the sound to a remote location.
PLEASE NOTE: this entrance alert chime is a wireless, one (1) piece entrance alert unit that detects motion AND plays the sound from the sensor. This unit works by itself and is not a piece of a different kit and is not compatible with other devices.
