Product Review
Vinyl LP. Italy's number-one reggae export, Alborosie, digs deep on 2010's "Escape from Babylon to the Kingdom of Zion" to create a contemporary reggae sound, using classic instruments and analog recording equipment and studios in Kingston, Jamaica. Playing 90% of the instruments himself, Alborosie is a one-man reggae wrecking crew. Featured on the song "Dung a Babylon" is Gramps Morgan. David Hinds appears on "Steppin' Out." I. Eye joins in on "Mama She Don't Like You. The other 11 songs are pure Alborosie. A solid reggae sound respectful of it's forebearers. "Escape from Babylon" rose to #6 on Billboard's reggae chart.
