"Hilarious" --The Times (U.K.)

Families clash and classes collide in this brilliant British comedy

When a shotgun wedding forces two families together, the stage is set for hilarity and heartache. The working-class Simcocks and middle-class Rodenhursts are from different ends of the social spectrum but equally snobbish. Their fortunes forever linked, they meet at various functions: weddings, a christening, a funeral, and even the crowning of Miss Frozen Chicken (U.K.). Fueled by pride, jealousy, alcohol, and lust, each event (or "do") is a calamity in the making.

David Jason (Only Fools and Horses, A Touch of Frost) leads a stellar ensemble cast in this acclaimed British comedy based on books by David Nobbs (The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin). Set in a small Yorkshire town where secrets are impossible to keep, it pokes fun at class distinctions while creating genuine, believable characters. Reflecting the comedic pedigree of its creator and cast, each episode blends humor and pathos with sharp writing and surprises.
