Season 8 of Degrassi: The Next Generation continues to explore edgy territory for young adults struggling with "first" experiences. Last year, chaos reigned as students from rival school Lakehurst were forced into the halls of Degrassi, but Lakehurst's contribution this year is worse—its principal, "The Shep," is especially tough on Degrassi's newest students, a gifted grade nine class.
