Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Award-winning author Neil Gaiman reads stories and poems from his collection Angels and Visitations:

The Song of the Audience: "I wish I knew when and where I'd written this. I found it one afternoon on the hard disk of my notebook computer. I'd suspect that it had been left there by pixies if it didn't read so much like something I'd written, and if the sentiments did not jibe so well with my own."

Nicholas Was...: "This is a Christmas card. Exactly a hundred words long (102 including the title)."

Babycakes: "Written for a publication to benefit People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. I think it makes its point."

Cold Colours: "A poem I wrote in 1989. It's about the end of the '80s, about London, and computers, and the world of finance and the city, and black magic."

The White Road: "This story is based on a number of old English folk stories, particularly a wonderfully gruesome one called 'Mr. Fox', but also on a variant of that story called 'Doctor Foster' and on all the strange Chinese folk tales in which ultimately everything comes down to foxes."

Banshee: "Sung by the Flash Girls, a gothic folk duo consisting of Emma Bull and The Fabulous Lorraine. It's about love, or possibly death."

Chivalry: "I love reading this to live audiences. It's a very friendly story."

Troll Bridge: "This story was nominated for a 1994 World Fantasy Award, although it didn't win."
