2010 solo album from the former Housemartins/Beautiful South vocalist. One of the pleasures of Acid Country is it's musical confidence, a way away from the brassy soul of classic Beautiful South or the jumpy pop of the Housemartins. Co-produced by Heaton and Christian Madden (The Earlies), the album features guest vocals from Hem's Sally Ellyson. Acid Country, the album, has feedback, Pop, Soul, and, yes, Country. Proper.
