About The Children's Factory Kirkwood, Mo, 1982 - The Children's Factory was created in the attic of its founders. Their vision was to create a soft play environment where children could play safely. They started with a basic 3D animal shape perfectly sized for a young child. From there, other products were developed and the company quickly grew in size.
