Product Review
A weeping form with single pink flowers in March-April before the leaves, borne in two to five flowered clusters. Subhirtella cherries are among the cold, heat, and stress tolerant of the species. Once established they are long lived and offer the garden a subliminal quality unavailable from other ornamental trees.
- These trees are now dormant (no leaves), which is the perfect time for transplanting. Do not transplant into another container, only the ground. All pictures are of fully grown plants. Sizes shipped are in the title and description. Deciduous plants do not have leaves in the winter.
- All California orders are shipped bare root according to their state regulations.
- Thrives in zones 4 through 8 with full to part sun.
- Size shipped is 1 to 2 feet tall, bare root in moist sphagnum moss, and double boxed for a safe transport.
- We ensure a successful transplant for 30 days if the included planting instructions are followed with the correct location and water. Deciduous plants bought dormant during the winter are expected to leaf out in the spring under the same conditions.
