This foot has a tunnel directly under the needle which allows a string of pearls, beads or heavy yarn to glide under the foot as a zig zag stitch is used to couch them in place. The narrow tunneled foot fits beads up to 2mm and the wide tunneled foot is used for 2.5-4mm beads.
