For elevations above 7000 feet and limited moisture, this mountain wild flower mix will perform very nicely. This mix is formulated specifically for mountains in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. This mix is 45% annuals and 55% biennials or perennials and under normal conditions the flower height will be 36 - 48 inches. Species in this mix include: Columbine, Cornflower, Siberian Wallflower, Shasta Daisy, Farewell to Spring, Plains Coreopsis, Larkspur, Sweet William, African Daisy, Fleabane Daisy, California Poppy, Blanketflower, Annual Baby's Breath, Blue Flax, Sweet Alyssum, Rocky Mountain Penstemon, Prairie Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, and Catchfly. Prepare a site by removing weeds and loosening soil. Seed can be broadcast and raked into the soil, covering 2 - 3 times their thickness, or seed can be drilled to a maximum of ¼ inch. This mountain mix should be planted in the spring once soil temperature warm to 55F. Seed should stay moist by either rainfall or irrigation until germination occurs.
