Atypical but exceptional Mary Pickford starrer, one of her last. Evil opportunist Mr. Grimes runs an orphanage, pocketing all the "maintenence" money while the children are ill-treated and dressed in rags. When Grimes takes in a kidnapped boy for a part of the ransom, it's too much for caregiver Molly (Pickford), who leads the children through alligator-infested swamps to get to freedom.
