This is meant to be a fun, simple product to amuse and teach everyone a little bit about liquid crystals and phase change! The Mood Mouse Pad offers dual functionality: A fully functional, ultra-thin (no rubber base) mouse pad and a heat sensitive color changing liquid crystal mood toy. The surface changes from black to blue, red, and green as liquid crystal shift phase with the changing temperature. It doesn't change colors just because you touch it. The temperature has to change and that can take some time. Hot hands or warm coffee cups are simple ways to see the phase change in action.
