Bobby Driscoll, playing perhaps the genre's youngest protagonist, received an honorary Oscar(r)* for his portrayal of the imperiled boy. Noted cinematographer Ted Tetzlaff (Notorious) directs, ramping up the tension in this film based on a story by Cornell Woolrich (Rear Window).
