Calendula Officinalis (Pink Surprise) - Orange, ruffled flowers with a tinge of pink mark Calendula Pink Surprise. Flowers measure about 1 inch across for this Pot Marigold and are double with pale pink petals colored soft orange on the reverse with a halo of light yellow surrounding the button centers. Calendulas are known as easy self-sowers so deadheading is needed if spreading is not desired. Calendula is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. It has average water needs and prefers full sun and tolerates light shade. Flowers are good for cutting and also suitable for container gardening.
