The Relief Tool is used in conjunction with Sorby's Thread Cutting Tools (10, 16, and 20 TPI). It cuts the rabbet (relief cut) prior to cutting threads. This rabbet assures that the threads stop before running into and marring the container. HSS blade with ash handle. Made in England!
