This 6-CD set contains 100 tracks from the finest EMI recordings of the most popular and best loved hymns performed by over five internationally renowned choirs. CD-1 and CD-2 features the Choir of King's College, Cambridge performing such hymns as Heber's Holy, holy, holy!, Mary E. Byrne's translation of Be thou my Vision and Farjeon's Morning Has Broken. The Choirs of York Minster and Liverpool Cathedral are featured in CD-3 which include recordings of Boberg's How Great Thou Art as well as Wesley's Love divine, all loves excelling. Among the 17 hymns found in CD-4, dedicated to the Temple Church Choir, is the popular advent hymn, Hark, what a sound.
