Dr. Howard Gardner sits down with Yo-Yo Ma during this candid dialogue during which Gardner explores with Yo-Yo Ma the roots of what has made him the extraordinary person he is today. Yo-Yo Ma, a 15-time Grammy winner, the recipient of the 2010 Medal of Freedom, and a world-famous cellist, is considered to be one of the best classical performers of all time. Dr. Howard Gardner is one of the most influential public intellectuals in the world. He is the author of 25 books translated into 29 languages, including Extraordinary Minds; Multiple Intelligences: New Horizons; and Five Minds for the Future. Gardner is Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and also holds positions as Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Harvard University and Senior Director of Harvard Project Zero. Among numerous honors, Gardner received a MacArthur Prize Fellowship (known as a Genius Grant ) in 1981 and has received honorary degrees from 27 colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world.
