Product Review
Documentary produced by the Undersecretariat of Information of Argentina, and release by the Peronist propaganda machine one year after Evita's death.
The divine nature of the mythical Evita was
promoted by the Peronist regime after Evita's death in 1952. In this film the former First lady of Argentina is portrayed in radiant light as a "bridge of love" between the state and her descamisados (shirt-less men), a fairy god-mother multiplying wealth, and preserving the good health of the nation while converting the wrongs of the past.
