If your guitar has a standard 1/4-inch jack for you to plug in a cable, then, your guitar will work. If your guitar does not have a jack (for example, many acoustic guitars), you can use a pickup, and your guitar will be ready to plug in and play (optional adapters may be required depending on the input connections for your gaming console)
