This versatile 1" wide brush is probably the best wash brush around. It holds a tremendous amount of paint which means you don't have to reload too often. Ideal for skies and large washes, it is also great for painting trees, bushes and leaves in the foreground.

For best results, squeeze excess water out of the brush with your finger and thumb, pick up the paint and then stipple. The resulting texture is similar to that achieved from using a sponge but the brush gives you more control.
