Willie Clayton is the reigning king of southern soul. All of his headlining concerts have sold out. Promoters book him as the co-headliner to insure that huge concert venues are sold out by headline artist like Al Green, Bobby Bland, Bobby Womack, Aretha Franklin, Temptations, etc. If you visit Soundscan, you'll see that Willie sold over 500k album/single units before October 2003; and we all know that there's sales before and after Soundscan. Since then he has released seven more CDs that take him over the million sales mark. This is the first Willie Clayton album on S.D.E.G. Records.
